I don’t think it would matter. That street is so clean it looks like he’s parked on ice.

I’ve never seen such a clean street.

Probably early 20s by the looks of the Model T. Stone houses behind it are now either tenements or worth a hundred billion dollars.

I follow a bunch of old-timey-picture-posters on the Facebooks. I like when they post automobilia such as this.

It also looks like something my dad would do to this day (at 64 y/o). Watching the kind of stuff he does while building houses was VERY influential in my decision to stay in school. I HATE ladders!

I’m not fond of heights at all. I couldn’t stand on top of that vehicle let alone on the ladder that’s on top of the vehicle.

I’m not that bad, I could stand on the roof of the truck itself ... cautiously ... but nothing short of the need to feed a starving child could get me on top of that ladder.

Even today they can be readily manufactured through unskilled labor.

True story.

It’s possible the ladder may be attached to the roof in some way, but OSHA was definitely not a consideration back then. With the city that was taken in, it might be possible to locate the house on google street view or something

I agree that ladder just has to be attached somehow.

What if he had a helper. “I’ll go get some lunch and come back “ “OK” *starts the truck. *Still on ladder “HEY WAIT”
